The Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) as a specialized post-secondary institution.
Please review the General Information document found at the menu to the left in "REGISTRAR FORMS." This program is not open to the general public. Students must have attended courses in residence at the Monterey DLIFLC location.

Effective February 15, 2008 there are changes to the AA Degree program. See the AA Degree Program Change form at the menu to your left in "REGISTRAR FORMS" for more details.
Send in your AA Degree Application and proof of service (LES) BEFORE sending transcripts/score reports. It is the student's responsibility to ensure all documents are received by the AA Degree Office; you MAY NOT be notified when we receive your documents. Those applying for more than one degree require a separate application for each language.
Official transcripts must be in envelopes sealed by the school. The ONLY acceptable electronic transcript programs are Credentials Solutions Inc., eScrip-Safe, or National Student Clearing House. Electronic transcripts from AMU and JST are accepted.

If the AA Degree Office is unable to open an electronic transcript from an institution, it will be the student’s responsibility and financial obligation to ensure an official sealed transcript is mailed. If you are unsure what program your school uses, request a mailed copy. No faxed transcripts or emails from individual persons accepted.
Students must provide transcripts from the grade granting institute where you completed the coursework.
Only CLEP/DSST and AP/IB scores may be transferred from third party transcripts at the discretion of the AA Degree Office. Transcripts from colleges/universities outside the U.S. must be evaluated by a NACES member.
The 30 day requirement is still in effect. Transcripts received less than 30 days prior to graduation do not guarantee award of the degree at your graduation ceremony.
